HAVING A GREAT TIME with the KING!

PARIS: They say Paris is for Lovers. I couldn’t agree more. John Keith and I arrived in Paris Tuesday morning and had a 12 hour lay over on our way to Cape Town, South Africa, where I was due to speak. We decided we would go and see the Eiffel tower, and I prayed for boldness. While at a station platform we could not figure out which train to get on when an elderly man kindly looked at our map and showed us which one to get on and sat with us to explain where we needed to change trains. He was in his 60's and had done his PHD at LA.

We got to speak and I went "fishing" and dropped some things about the Lord, which turned into a great conversation. He asked me the difference between religion and what I called Christianity, a love relationship with a person. Next we got a taxi whose driver could not find out where he was going. I began to praise the Lord and he spoke some broken English. I shared with him and he smiled and praised the "THE KING" as he lifted his hand in the air and smiled!

From there we needed to get back to the train towards the airport. Cindee and I were unable to get Evan, our 10 year old, a present he had wanted for Christmas, but I found it in Paris. We went to a taxi and I asked him to take us to the railway station. He said, "No!" and told me to go somewhere else. I walked and whistled down a taxi and we got into a conversation with Thomas from Nigeria, who was the driver. [If I was not converted before we started the drive I was by the time the drive ended. I think he thought he was in the Indy 500!!] He asked me if I was a "Christian.” I told him it all depended on what he meant and explained the difference between being born into a religious system and entering into a relationship with the Kind Lord Jesus. I shared with him about sin and the cross and the Kind Savior. I asked him about his relationship he said, "No, I do not believe in that - not yet." I told him I would pray for him. From there we had to catch a train back to the airport. A man kept starring at me, and on his hat was written the word "Killer.” Charming!!! He gestured to me, and I told him I needed to go to the airport. He beckoned me to follow him as he led us through a tunnel towards another platform to catch the plane. I said to John-Keith, "Always trust a man with Killer written on his hat!" At the airport, there were no seats for us on the plane together to South Africa. After a quick prayer, I asked a stewardess for help. Within minutes, though she was not due to be at the counter for 4 more hours, God gave us favor and I told her so and of the Lord Jesus. She had tickets for John Keith and I to sit together.

While waiting for my plane, I sat next to a lady who had sat in the airport for 12 hours and was returning home to Nairobi, Kenya. She was a student in England and a follower of the King. She was so excited to be able to tell her mom how God had encouraged her. Her suitcase was too heavy, but instead of charging her for the extra weight they waved the fee. I turned to John-Keith and asked him to sneak a certain amount of money from my wallet. He said "Daddy, it’s not there, there’s more! “What should I do?" I asked him, and he smiled. So, we were able to help her on her way. I was only doing what I had seen Him do three times that day Himself. What a wonderful refreshing time with the King. This dear lady asked me if I liked chocolate, opened her case, and gave us each a bar. How kind of the King!!!

Upon getting on the plane, a young lady sat next to us. She was returning to a country in Africa, and had been a nanny for 11 months in France. She asked what I did, and within minutes she was praising the Lord. She had become a follower of the King 11 months earlier. We talked about Him, and I got an hour sleep in the ten and a half hour flight. Before she dozed off, I gave her my cd player so she could listen to some truth as she drifted off to sleep. When she woke, we went back into speaking of Him and His Word. No seep that night but what fun!!! I have had so much fun sharing. When she woke we talked again about the Scriptures and had a blessed time. Please pray for her as she goes home to her family. I don’t know if they are ready for such a blazing testimony of devotion to Jesus Christ.

We finally arrived in Johannesburg, and again I got to share briefly. From there we had a two-hour flight to Cape Town. Three days now traveling, and within three hours of when we arrived, I threw some water on my face and headed to a church to speak. A man who is a war veteran afterwards told his pastor he was nearly moved to emotion. Another lady said she would bring a friend on Sunday, a young believer whose wife has left him. He had only 2 hours sleep the night before shared that of the four things I spoke on he struggled with two of them and asked for prayer. Little did he know my own sleep problems "But God. . .." One of the leaders afterwards told me how he had quizzed the brother who had invited me, "Where was he educated, etc?" God has given favor, and he shared how the Holy Spirit had spoken to him though the Word that evening and his desire to apply what he had heard and share with others. The King, ladies and gentleman, granting favor- how kind He is!

Today, I went to visit a lady who has three weeks to live. She was surrounded by loving friends. I felt very awkward but prayed for favor. The conversation changed and within minutes, some ladies, even one lost lady I am told, were pulling pens and paper from their bags and writing down Scripture verses. I was sharing from His Flawless Word, and we spoke of heaven.

The lady who is dying (no , actually she is GRADUATING in going Home to the Father's House where Jesus has desired her, John 17:24)  has a wonderful reputation. She was saved at 50 through the words of Jesus, "Come to Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Her daughter is in her forties joined us. I shared with her and she wept as I prayed for her. After everyone had left the room, I leaned over to this sweet saint of God who will soon see Him face to face, and encouraged her concerning the testimony she had among the saints. I kissed her on the forehead and told her she was like Dorcas in the Scriptures. She squeezed my arm, and I promised her I would pray for her daughter and she asked also for her son. WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP NOW AND PRAY that they both would be converted! Her young grandson who is eleven or twelve was kneeling by his bed. I looked in his room and introduced myself to him. His mom told me that he wants to learn the guitar and play for Jesus. I found out his favorite singers and what cd’s he did not have. Lord wiling, I will get him some, to the glory of God.

Tonight I traveled to a radio station, and did a thirty-minute live show titled "Time for Decision" which comes on before James Dobson. We had a wonderful time, and the phones were ringing with people with broken hearts. The announcer asked me if I would call and personally speak to one lady whose husband had abandoned both her and her two daughters. We looked and talked about the Scripture, had someone speak to her, and to try to find her a church and some ladies to love on her. PLEASE PRAY FOR GOD TO ENCOURAGE AND PROVIDE FOR HER AND HER GIRLS.

When I had finished that conversation, I was told another Interviewer, who had heard me live, wanted to interview me for another show that was to be aired in several weeks. I went with him and he told me the format for the show and that it was for "famous" people. Well, that should of been a clue straight away, what the heck was I doing there!!!! The only thing I am famous for is being a great sinner but I have a "FAMOUS SAVIOR!" He showed me pictures on his web site of the "famous "politicians and one singer and one huge chain store owner who have appeared on his show.

The format of the show was to speak about your life, decisions made and principles. "To help those in government and business men as well as ordinary people." It soon became apparent to me he wanted me to speak about politics. So I asked, "Is it ok if I talk about The KING?" He smiled and said, "Yes, of course." I am not sure what "king " he had in mind, but when the interview began, I took a short cut to KING JESUS!!! As the show was being pre-recorded, he would stop and ask me questions about politics in Ireland and soccer (since it is so big in South Africa). It so happens one of my closest friends, Derek Smethurst, was a top soccer player in South Africa, Europe, and the States who came to know the Lord Jesus. The interviewer’s eyes got bigger and bigger! So, even while talking about soccer, I was able to bring the interview back to "The King."

When we got to “politics in Ireland," I was able to speak about two factionist groups who both mention "Jesus.” Neither knows the Jesus of the Bible! His final question was, “what life principle could I give to the people that could help them.” (I’m still trying to figure that out for myself, let alone others!)

So, I shared that Jesus Christ is "THE Way, not a way, THE Truth, not a truth, and The Life, not a way of Life. NO One- neither rich nor poor, politician or otherwise can come to the Father BUT THROUGH HIM, and ALL who came He would not reject! End of interview, thank you Jesus!!!!

THE FIRST INTERVIEWER later showed me the phone messages that had been called in by people who were hurting and broken hearted. I had spoken on suffering and trials, and he asked if I would come back next Thursday night and do another live segment. He also asked if perhaps he could take the two-minute devotionals off our web page, proclaiminghim.com, or even the present radio messages that are heard in the States to play on the radio. So, perhaps the Lord will expand the radio ministry to South Africa. I feel like a kid at Christmas. There should be a law against having so much fun!!!

"I HEARD YOU SAY ON THE RADIO LAST NIGHT..."

THIS MORNING I WAS TAKEN TO A LONG SHED (THAT IS BEST HOW TO DESCIBE IT) BY A COUPLE, WHO HAS FOR 6 YEARS DELIEVERED SOUP, MILK, ETC. IN NEAR BY TOWNSHIPS, TO HELP FEED THE POOR THROUGH DONATIONS FROM DIFFERENT FACTORIES. THEY HAVE LIVED BY FAITH FOR YEARS. YOU COULD NOT BELIEVE THE POVERTY AND THE EXCUSES FOR BUILDINGS THESE DEAR PRECIOUS ONES WHOM CHRIST DIED FOR LIVE IN. SOMEONE TOLD ME IN ONE PLACE 30,OOO LIVE. A LADY SAID SHE HAD HEARD ME SPEAK ON SUFFERING AND HAD A QUESTION. IT TURNED OUT FOR AN HOUR OR SO WE SAT AND SPOKE ABOUT THE "GOD OF ALL COMFORT."  SHE HAS TWO KIDNEYS THAT ARE IN A BAD WAY AND WE SPOKE REGARDS HIS COMFORT AND ANSWERED QUESTIONS AS BEST I COULD. WHAT INTRIQUED HER WAS THAT HER SUFFERING COULD BE USED OF GOD TO MAKE HER A COMFORTER TO "OTHERS IN ANY AFFLICTION." WHAT A GLORIOUS TIME WE HAD AS WE TALKED ABOUT HEAVEN AND WHAT GOD SAYS. She beamed as I attempted to look at life through the lens of Scriptures. When I got home, as I had awoken at 2:40am this morning, I passed out. But what a happy camper sharing Jesus with others.... does it get any better? (Apart from having your children walking in the truth, which I am still praying for.)

LORD WILLING next week, John -Keith and I will go to a township to share and play soccer with kids...I cant wait!

After years and years of being cooped up, God has as it were allowed me out to speak of Him and has given me abundant opportunities. I believe I am scheduled for about 14 more evenings in the next two weeks, plus some others also being worked on that will take me into what have been called third world areas. PLEASE PRAY for a TRANSLATOR as I will bring a ball and a Bible, and pray God to bless these dear ones whom He loves. John-Keith will come with me and is due to share also!!!. He is so quiet. I told him I would help him if he liked. He paused and said, "No, I need to get a passage and make a point. I'll be ok.” It has taken me 25 years, and I have not got it down to that yet. How beautiful the simplicity of a child!!

OPPORTUNITIES- I had simply prayed, “Lord give me Your itinerary,” and so far my days are full. My heart overflows, sleep disappears and my only disappointment, I have no where to speak tomorrow. But perhaps God will give me boldness and a soul to evangelize or a soul to encourage.

I look forward to buying a cd for that young boy who has just heard his granny has less then three weeks to live. God gave John Keith and I the money to be here- and a sacrificial gift it was - and I can only rejoice in the fruit that will be to the account of those who gave all to make it possible for us to speak of Him who desires to be all to those who sit in darkness without hope and without Christ. As well as for the resources to be able to buy this little boy some music and. May God grant him the desire of his heart to learn to play the guitar so he can play for JESUS. There are those of you reading this and it is YOU God has used to make this possible. As one dear precious lady said before I left the States, "Aidan I am sending you a check so I can go to South Africa with you." No, she did not come physically but she has come spiritually, in prayers and in enabling us to help others. Oh that God in His mercy would grant us to be able to do more. It is the cry of my heart. PLEASE PRAY GOD WOULD HELP US TO HELP OTHERS AND FURTHER HIS KINGDOM, TO RAISE UP those who would co-labor with support in the Gospel of His dear Son. I have such a desire to help those who are already going, but have no one to help. No one to get in the boat it seems to come alongside "BUT GOD...." perhaps will touch someone’s heart to say,  “Here am I Lord, send me"

LAST STORY

Someone purchased some expensive meds for me before I left the states, and I had to drive to another city to get them. When I got home, Cindee had packed my suitcase but I could not find one message that I wanted to speak on- as I have been praying what to speak on. I asked her to email me it. Wednesday night the pastor announced I would be speaking on Sunday morning and night. That night they were starting class, and I would be speaking on a particular passage. He never asked me, never told me "But God..." It happened to be the passage I had asked Cindee to email me .The Lord is Precious.

YES, PARIS IS FOR LOVERS: The Eiffel Tower is high, but there is no High like sharing of the MOST HIGH, and there is No Love like the Love of Jesus, and I am blessed...

SO, THAT’S THE LATEST FROM SOUTH AFRICA. I am due to speak 7 times this week that I know of plus some others thrown in possibly.

p.s. PLEASE PRAY for John-Keith- that God would do something to encourage him. He is such a "giver" and so kind to me and watching out I do not over lift bags that can cause pain.  I long to see God to do something to encourage him. One night before we left Cindee told me he had lain in bed and asked the Lord for some money for the trip. He seldom asks us for anything as not to be a burden upon us. The very next day a letter arrived addressed to him and inside was the amount he had asked for. How kind IS OUR GOD. This evening I was able to give a little more away to a couple in ministry. I do not share this to say I am something, but the JOY, PURE JOY, to be a part of helping others to continue to minister as many people have helped me and my family over the years. For without the kindness of God placing us on the hearts of His people, we could not go, we could not eat, we could not support others, we could not go and minister. "But God..." THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. HEBREWS 6:10 says it best. Be encouraged, "YOUR LABOR IN THE LORD IS NOT IN VAIN." John Keith does not sleep well, like me. Pray for Cindee and the children and the Lord to encourage them and reach out to them. At times this life can be very lonely. "But God" encourages us through His Word and those who have chosen to identify with us in the cause of Christ. You have no idea how much your actions speak to us.

GOD BLESS - AND THANK YOU...
